My Winter Capsule Wardrobe: #10x10challenge

Hello lovelies!

I hope everyone is having a lovely week… For the past ten days I have been experimenting with my favourite pieces from my wardrobe to challenge myself to the 10 by 10 style exercise. Invented by Style Bee, the ’10 x 10 Style Challenge’ forces you to create a capsule wardrobe made up of 10 items that you will wear for 10 whole days (sounds hard, right?!). Surprisingly, I thoroughly enjoyed this exercise (despite having several mind blanks throughout the process!) as it encouraged me to style garments in ways that I wouldn’t otherwise think about. So overall, it was a huge success, and if anything it has made me realise just how little we need in our wardrobes!

I decided to choose three pair of trousers, two tops, a hoodie, blazer, coat and then two pairs of shoes. I primarily stuck to a monochrome palette as I knew this would make it easier for me to style each outfit… as it meant I wouldn’t have to worry about any prints or colours clashing at all! All accessories, such as jewellery, hats, bags etc, are exempt from the challenge, meaning it is very easy to disguise your case of outfit repeating and to come up with some new, refreshing styles.

This challenge really tested my style creativity, but I definitely came out of it with a better sense of personal style. I’ve now found some of my favourite go-to outfits, and I might even try and do the challenge again next season – I’d really recommend giving it a go!

So without further ado, keep scrolling to see my favourite winter capsule wardrobe looks made up of only ten items… (I have linked all items but for those that are out of stock I have linked a similar product) Enjoy!
